The club on yearly basis prides its self in holding the following events:
Rotatian Eleanor was inducted as the second female president since the start of the club
at the induction dinner held on 14 July 2018. It was such a proud moment for fellow rotatioans
and their families and friends. The club donated two wheel chairs to the provincial minister honourable
Mrs Mutsvangwa as a gift to two young Sigauke boys living with disability Tanaka and Tinashe whose
struggles with life made national headlines. In her acceptance speech, the president committed her
first 100 days in office to have ramps built at the boys school classrooms and toilets as well as
modifying their family home for easy access. She also committed to giving a face lift to the causualty ward
of Mutare General hospital as well as procumenent of latest state of the art equipment for the ward.
She committed to planting 5000 trees with the help of rotaracts. She went on to thank the outgoing president
and promised to continue from where
he left off.
Each year fellow rotarians from the different clubs together with our families meet for a day of just fun full of live music, dance, food, and jumping castle for the kids. However, the Assistant Governor and the current presidents often share their achievements.
